Help!, From Me to You

Today we launched a new, somewhat bare-bones, feature of the site: Help! Now there’s a place where users can go to ask for help with different game-related issues. Sometime we’re able to help, and sometimes all we can do is redirect people to where they can find the assistance they are looking for.

If you have asked a question previously, and received no reply, repost your question on this page and we’ll do our best to assist you. While we don’t know the answers to every little thing, if you explain the issue you are having in detail perhaps we can work it out together.

For instance to get back a character that has wandered off the map, try storing the building they are associated with. If the servers are down all you can do is wait until they fix the issue. In most instances it won’t be long until service is restored.

Common questions and answers will be added to this page over time. Perhaps if we all come together we can come up with some troubleshooting solutions that aren’t already covered on the EA Support page. Our staff and community are always willing to help, so feel to ask us for assistance anytime at all.

    I was trying to re-decorate a part of my city for The Stonecutter building so wanted to put a few trees into the storage. For some reason I can’t. It gives me the warning: Sorry hoarder. Can’t store this. The same with fences, flowers, shrub, bench (not the one on the boardwalk). …
    Has anyone have the same problem?

    I’ve not been able to log into my account since the Easter update! I did contact EA they said they know of the problem and are working on it…Is anyone else still having problems?

      Yeah, it’s a big problem. Hopefully tomorrow’s content update will bring with it some bug fixes as well.

    Panic mode!!!!! I’ve just logged into my game and its gone back to the beginning! I’ve logged in and out and in and out and my money, town, donuts and levels have gone!!!! Skinman2000 or raventheif would you mind seeing if my town is still in your friends list? And is there anything there?

    Help please if you can I am losing my mind here! I have two origin accts the first is Paulettelmn ,the second is Rubykinsdog . When I sign in to either acct it tells me my other device didn’t save which I’ve been ignoring. I now realize my games are now identical in some areas of the town,but they weren’t originally! Today I noticed that when I visit my one town as a”neighbour” I can actually collect money and put people to work as well as do the 3 actions! On the visit to neighbours my rubykinsdog has the drive in movie theatre that has been lost in the actual rubykinsdog town. The last 2days I’ve been trying to change the similarities between the 2 games only to now realize that EA has messed with them both! What should I do???

    Hey! I just bought a laffy meal from krustyland and won the itchy mascot, the confusing thing is already have one lol… I now have two itchys! Is this a glitch? As i just looked if you can buy more then one mascot and i cant see them anywhere as i already have them. Im super confused!

      It’s a glitch, apparently one they haven’t fixed yet. If you put it into your storage, you’ll never be able to take it back out again since you are only supposed to have one. So your options are to have two wandering around the park, or have one forever stuck in storage while the other wanders around.

    So sorry to hear this Lynne! The same thing happened to me only to a lesser degree. Once the update occurred my main game logged into my secondary game. The only way that I broke the cycle was to log into it from another device. Since then everything has been fine. If you don’t own or have access to a secondary device, I recommend downloading BlueStacks which is an Android emulator. From there you can download and play Android games like Tapped Out on your Mac/PC. I hope you get your donuts back – and the screen shot is a very good idea as well.

    I just wanted to vent.. Or share some info. I’m really frustrated. Since the last update when I log into one of my accounts a different Springfield shows up, so who knows if someone is logging in and entering your Springfield!! I’ve contacted EA customer service and there are over 300 pages of people complaining about the same issue. Since I put in my complaint I’ve logged in periodically to see if the problem has been corrected, today I discovered all my sacred donuts to be GONE! I’ve been trying to be patient, but I’ve seen other posts of people noticing that things had been changed in their towns, etc.
    I’m recommending people take a screenshot of your town, money & donut amounts… Just in case. Here is the thread, if you wish to see how many people this has happened to. http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Simpsons-Tapped-Out/Updated-today-I-lost-my-Springfield/td-p/2163225/highlight/false/page/280
    My complaint is on page 274 it’s over 300 pages in since the update on the 22nd, I think it was. :/
