This site started a less than ten days ago, and in that time it has managed to attract several visitors. Before things move along too much further, I’d like to address a few things.
No Cheating Discussion
If you use cheats, hacks, or exploits to play the game, please keep that information to yourself. There are other sites that welcome the discussion of such things, this however is not one of them. I am not passing judgement on anyone who chooses to play the game other than how it was intended, I am just stating publicly that is not the place to discuss such activities.
There Will Be No Self-Congratulatory Posts
One trend I’ve noticed on several blogs is that when certain page view milestone are reached, the staff will make a fuss about it and report this non-event to its followers. Statistics are a useful tool in determining trends as well as the information people are searching for, and that is what I will use it for. If you want to know how many hits this site has received, check the widget in the footer.
This Site Will Not Beg For Donations
Nearly ever blog I’ve seen dedicated to this game likes to post a big yellow “Donate” button somewhere on the site. More often than not, the self-congratulatory page view milestone posts are nothing more than thinly veiled attempts to remind people that they can donate money to the site. That is not what this site is about. If you really want to help the site out monetarily, feel free to contact me privately, though it isn’t really necessary. While I did spend $26 to secure tstogame.com for the site, that has been the only expense, other than time, that running this site has cost me.
Hello. I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. My user name is feelingblind and I am the creator of this blog.
This web-site was created in response to the unfortunate series of events that befell TSTO Tips. While I was never affiliated with the site or any of its staff, I did visit the site on a daily basis. When it became clear that there was a need for another Tapped Out centric blog, I created this one.
Unlike TSTO Topix, a blog comprised of several former TSTO Tips staff members, I am the only one who will be posting updates on this blog. It may seem like a lot for one person to take on, but I appreciate the challenge.
Earlier in the year I wrote an FAQ for the game, which was published to GameFAQs. It proved to be rather difficult to keep updated considering how often new content is added to game, so it is now considerably out of date. I plan to submit a small update to the file though, if only to add a link to this blog somewhere in the header.
So far the response to this blog has been quite positive, so thank you all for your support! I know it may seem superfluous to have multiple blogs covering the same game, but I feel as though this site has a lot to offer. My goal is to provide the best Tapped Out blog I possibly can by providing you with information that is both entertaining and easy to read.
Welcome to TSTO Game, a blog devoted to the mobile game The Simpsons: Tapped Out. The purpose of this blog is to help users navigate their way through the game. Some of the information will help newcomers, while other information will help those who have been playing the game for some time. Each post will be dedicated to a specific topic within the game, such as characters, buildings, or special in-game events.
My hope is to provide a safe space for fans of the game to interact with each other.
