What are the prizes, and how soon can I earn them?

There are ten prizes to earn and approximately four weeks to earn them all. By collecting gift cards which can be found inside of presents, you will be able to work towards your goal. Presents randomly appear in your town. The longer you are away from the game, the more presents you will find when you get log back in.

Of course you can’t stay away too long. Don’t expect to be away for days and have hundreds of presents waiting for you. No, this system works similar to how guests automatically generate tickets for you when visiting Krustyland.

You can also collect gift cards by visiting your neighbors, something that is now even easier to do thanks to a clever innovation by the developers. So if you want all of those prizes, make sure to visit your neighbors this season! Hopefully all of your friends are participating in the event, otherwise it might be time to find some new neighbors.

A full list of the prizes, as well as the number of gift cards you will need to unlock them is posted after the break. For those who play everyday, this should be a breeze, particularly if you take the time to visit your neighbors. Just keep an eye on the Present Depot, as that’s where most of the presents will accumulate.

In this article, you say we have approximately five weeks to collect all 10 prizes, but all other sources say we have only 27 days. Is this a mistake or am I missing something?
Thank you for all the hard work.

Good observation. I actually got my information from a line of dialogue directly from the game. I didn’t connect that the math didn’t exactly add up.

        Thank you for your answer.
I also understand that it is easy to asume it to be true, once you read the line, because the halloween event did last five weeks if I recall correctly.

It makes me wonder if the event was actually suppose to be five weeks and was just delayed due to programming issues and they just forgot to update the dialogue to reflect the delay.

When all prizes are collected, is there a possibility to earn donuts like in the Halloween event?

    • December 11, 2013 at 12:31 pm #

No, but after you get them all every 1000 gift cards will earn you one spin token.

Does Barney’s Plow unlock anything else? I know that you can earn the Plow King costume from the Spin Tokens, but there isn’t any chance that the plow gives you access to Barney without the Bowlarama? I was hoping that it worked like Halloween where Kang came with the VIctorian UFO despite not being pictured with it (and not coming with his original crashed UFO either). Thanks!

That’s a really good question! I can’t test it quite yet, but I’ll be on the lookout when I unlock that prize in my Barney-less town.

FB, Micah, RT, PPG: a very basic question: if you visit neighbor-eenos, I tap gift cards. Ha! Is it normal to get the gift cards and money? Is the money standard? I do not get gift boxes … During Halloween I got more Gremlins when tapping ghosts. Thanks in advance.

You should be getting gift bags too. I don’t think you’re supposed to get money, but I can’t check right now.

Awesome posts on this recent event. Everything has been fast & thorough. I just had a couple of comments abt Xmas 2013: 1st how do we know when gifts drop behind buildings or decorations? I’ve found a few by deactivating(?) bldgs, characters & decor, but it takes forever to locate them. 2nd I’ve gotten very few bags that I can giveaway to neighbors. I’m lucky to give ONE bag away to just a handful friends, let alone 5, without spending precious donuts. This part of the game sucks! How is the community going to to reach 2,500,000,000 for the last prize?

Once you get the Elf House is unlocked, they elves will help find hidden presents. I’m sure thing will make more sense the more we play. It’s been less than a day, so we’ll see how far along the community goal total gets.

You can hide the buildings to find any presents behind them. Hiding decorations will not help though as that option also hides the gift boxes. But the only decoration sufficiently large to cover any boxes is King Homer anyway, which you could just put to storage during the event.

Thanks. I’ve been at my keyboard typing away all day, and there’s still more stuff to do! It’s a lot of new content.
