TSTOgame

A blog dedicated to the popular mobile game, The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Level 34 is here!

The latest update to the game is here, and this is all of the information you will be presented with when you log-in. The focus of this update seems to revolve around the Springfield school system, with the addition of Superintendent Chalmers. It takes twenty-four hours to build the Springfield High School. Once completed you’ll unlock Chalmers and yes, he is voiced.

If you want to spend 150 donuts you can also get the twins, Sherri & Terri. Keep in mind, though they are two people, they act together as one character. There’s also Robby the Automaton for 40 donuts, which acts as any other premium decoration. Also out-of-the-blue we get another high-price vanity item, the World’s Largest Zirconia. If anyone purchases these items, let me know what you think of them. The game just keeps on getting more expensive expansive!

Buildings

Springfield High School – $232,500
Springfield Knowledgeum – $379,500 (unlocks after completing “SKINNERRRR?! Pt. 3″)

I am going to use strategically obscured whacking day tents to create my own camp..for some reason i stocked up on them.

I did the same, whenever there is a limited-time decoration that only costs cash, I buy around 10 of them, just in case I ever need to decorate with them.

I made a “camp” i think it looks cool! I managed to screen shot, but still to figure out how to post in flickr…a techno challenge for me another day!

Of coarse you already noticed, but I did not read it here so far: we used to get the main building for game money and we could choose whether we spend donuts on suitable decorations. But with Kamp Krusty it is the other way around. Is EA pressuring us to buy the Kamp and are we dealing with a new strategy, or are the camp fire and pool available in this level because Chalmers is planning a late evening party in SF Elementary’s yard, or high school? It’s up to us to choose ! :-)

I’m a completist so I bought everything lol. The robot is cool, he has some interesting animations, Sherri and Terri are cool too, but I was disappointed when I found out they didn’t have a voice. I don’t regret buying them and would recommend buying them if you can afford them, but I do think they’re a bit expensive as their quest line is incredibly short

I bought the new premium items as well as the new decorations. As Skinner is in KL for a bit more and all the kiddies are in jail, I have to wait to start the quest. I guess I can use the time to figure out where to put the new building.

Yeah, 150 donuts for a building-less character is pretty pricey. The Automaton seems pretty useless too (aside from the 2% multiplier). and the Zirconia is considerably smaller than you’d expect. I suppose I’ll be having to free up Skinner from his Krustyland adventures within the next day or two; still have to finish the Eddie & Lou quests too, plus the Sunsphere quests. Oh well, keeps me occupied!

Heads up, Sherri and Terri are one character not two. I rather expected individuals for the 150 donut price.

    • feelingblindAugust 29, 2013 at 2:21 pm

I’ll make a special note of that in this post for those unaware. I’m curious how they work myself. :)

      • PromethelaxAugust 29, 2013 at 2:28 pm

They act as any character does, but are animated as two people. They walk together, holding hands I think, so it’s not a total stretch for them to be a single character.

They open with dialogue poking fun at the other kids for being non premium boys and are sent on a four hour task to talk to each other in their secret twin code.

Besides that I’m not sure yet, by the time I know anything others will be ahead of me in their quest line I’m sure.

Oh goodness. I’m still trying to save for the magnifying glass – have the other vanity buildings though (inc. the sun-sphere). Seriously considering increasing the size of my house farm now (I was hoping to get rid of it once I collected the magnifying glass). School is building now though. The anticipation starts!

Nice to add a vehicle that DOESN’T require donuts. About time, EA. About time……

Worlds largest zirconia costs 5 millions and not 500’000. As I had over 20 millions I bought it. The zirconia is a small item, when you tap it it wanish for a moment and apperars after short time. It seems that I got 100’000 XP for the item.
It costs to much for what you get
